Under 7 - Chris

" This month we have two players of the month.

Oliver and Daniel.

Oliver has been a ever present rock in defence, while also helping out in goal throughout the league campaign (He also scored a stunning chip in our last league match).

Daniel has used his pace well playing down the right wing and recently scored a beautiful volley in our final league game.

Both players have contributed to the Elsecar under 7's so far this season.

Well done lads."

Under 8 - Matt

" Jamie has been fantastic all season and could have won this award on a few occasions.

He's constant in his performances and he can read the game very well.

We have asked him to try a different position this season, playing left hand side of defence he's been excellent!!

He's not afraid to get stuck in and win the ball.

We ask the team to try and play out from the back and Jamie has embraced that challenge.

He trusts his team mates and understands that we will make mistakes but we have to learn from them.

Keep up the good work Jamie"

Under 9 - Wayne

" Our player of the month this month goes to a player who sometimes goes overlooked.

A player who has taken a couple of seasons to really find his place in the team. A player who is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with on the pitch.

He has a left foot to be proud of and tried his very best to improve with every game and training session.

He never complains regardless of how many times he starts as a sub and he always does as he's asked. When asked what he loves about football he says his team mates, they're all his best friends.

The first one there and the last one to leave - it's my boy Charley!"

Under 10 Blues - Martin

" Taylor is the u10's Blues player of the month for February 2023.

Since commencing back after the winter break, We have moved Taylor into a different position to the one he has played most of his football life.

Playing in a sweeper/centre back role, requires excellent reading of the game qualities, along with the ball ability to be confident on the ball, be able to see a pass, be strong in the tackle, be brave at times.

Week one was obviously not his best performance in the role, but still did a half decent job, for his first time, a month of coaching under his belt and in the last match of the month super T was untouchable.

Superb reading of the game, excellent in the tackle and bringing the ball out from defence and never once gave the ball away.

A thoroughly deserved player of the month is our Super T. "

Under 10 Whites - John

" February player of the month goes to Noah our number 1.

He has a fantastic attitude, always listens and wants to learn and be the best he can be.

He has kept us in some games in the 2nd half of the season with some fantastic saves and saved a penalty or two.

Keep it up Noah, Well Done!

" It was a tough call for February's player of the month, but we feel this lad really deserves it.

His cheeky smile and cocky attitude always makes us laugh.

This lads commitment, hard work, and leadership on the field is always second to none with a little bit of frazzle dazzle thrown in.

Player of the month is our Captain Fraser.
